About Kimberly




Kimberly Ford earned her Ph.D. in Spanish and French Literature in 2001 at which point she began writing fiction. "Jelly Baby" appeared in Moxie within a few months and she has been hard at work ever since.

Kimberly has published short fiction and essays in diverse magazines including Mothering, The Believer and Brain, Child. Her story "Generation" was published in The Threepenny Review and was chosen by the O. Henry judges as a recommended story for the O. Henry Prize Stories collection of 2008.

Her book, Hump: True Tales of Sex after Kids will be published by St. Martin's Press in 2008.

Kimberly lives near San Francisco with her family where she is at work on a novel.
